DOWN WITH GOSSIP @ 3:32 PM |
|
Finally! I actually have time to post something. It's been weeks since I've had free time. Requirements have been piling up and it's getting tiring. The last time I slept an 8-hour sleep was the last day of summer. Anyway, here are the things I have come to tell: - My school has freakin' cancelled the SONGFEST. (But who cares right? Well I do.)For heaven's sake, it's tradition here. The time to bond with classmates, the melodious songs that can be heard echoing in our hallowed halls, the thrill of the competition- these were memories in my first two years of high school life. Thank God they didn't cancel our dance production. Then again, there would've been pretty chaotic protests if they did.
- Noli Me Tangere is actually pretty cool (but I'm a geek so I have no idea if you share my opinion.) Dr. Jose Protacio Mercado Rizal y Alonzo Realonda (that's a mouthful) is such an awe-inspiring writer! He's just bloody brilliant.
- Today, we had a "writing derby" in our English class. We were supposed to make a story about a dot within a few minutes. Here's an edited version of mine:
Once upon a time, there was a dot of nothingness that appeared in the town of Rosebuckles (randomness). This tiny dot that was hanging in mid air caught the attention of the innocent villagers. They looked at it everytime they passed by the said dot. The dot grew and grew 'till it became a huge vacuum. Soon enough, the whole town got sucked in. THE END.
I know. What a senseless story. Well what was I supposed to write in 3 darn minutes? ...such an unproductive writing activity... - Last point: Ugh... caterpillars are crawling all over the place! The school's infested with them! I DO NOT want to itch and scratch endlessly. And slimy green caterpillar fluid isn't exactly the nicest thing to see splattered along the corridors.
- Changed my mind. This is my last point: Posting gossip articles in blogs is a highly repetitive and uncreative way of ventilating one's envy/anger/greed/gluttony/lust/pride (6 Capital Sins, sloth excluded).
I have said all that I needed to say. Down with gossip and ciao! Labels: b, school
