Movie Review: 10,000 BC @ 11:59 AM |
|
WARNING! SPOILER ALERT! -ass title: 10,000 BC starring: Steven Strait and Camilla Belle
- Casting: i felt that it was a lot like 300 because i couldn't recognize the actors. i didn't see like brad pitt or anyone in the pages of Us Weekly. i thought that camilla belle was absolutely goh-juss.
- Characters: i didn't like 'Old Mother'. the character reminded me too much of Tia Dalma from Pirates of the Caribbean.
- Story: the story was so simple and not very thought-provoking at all. very prehistoric in the sense that it was all about survival. does that make sense?
- Scenes: i didn't like the scene with the tiger. even if it meant he will miraculously find friends who will fight with him and be lucky enough to find a translator.
- Love Triangle: it definitely made the movie more interesting. but it seemed a bit unrealistic that the black guy would be so nice to evolet.
- Ending: i was disappointed that the movie was so long and it didn't even have a happy ending. but lo and behold! old mother dies and evolet comes back to life! it felt more like a feel-good-romance-movie than a movie based on history.
Bottom line: the story wasn't great. i wouldn't watch it if they show it on HBO. *this is my opinion, no need to get violent if you absolutely loved it. Labels: a, review, silver screen
